We at Sandras Great Achievers Daycare, work with toddlers and preschoolers using a range of individualized, play-based, and evidence-based strategies to address developmental needs in a natural environment. Our approach integrates specialized instruction into daily routines and activities. We implement several instruction and learning strategies to support each child’s unique learning style. Strategies such as play-based instruction, modeling and role-playing, adjusting teaching methods and materials to meet each child’s individual needs and breaking down complex tasks into small, achievable steps. We use a proactive approach to behavior, focusing on creating positive environments and teaching new skills rather than punishing challenging behaviors.
